LEARN TO ROW IN 2026

Our eight-morning sessions will take you through the basics of rowing, practicing first on land-based rowing machines, and then on the water in an eight-person shell with a coxswain who navigates the boat. Each rower holds a single oar, which is mounted either on the port side or starboard side of the boat.

Sculling—where each rower holds a pair of oars—will also be covered during the course, initially in a four-person shell. Coaches will ride alongside in a launch to instruct on the elements of proper technique, as well as boat handling and terminology.  Open to ages 18+.

All Learn-to-Row (LTR) sessions run from 7:15 am to 8:45 am.

Eight session clinic fee:  $250

Cancellation Policy

CCR reserves the right to cancel a Learn-to-Row program if too few rowers are registered, or if there is a change in state or local Covid guidelines. Participants will be notified in advance of the first session in the event a program is cancelled and a refund or credit towards a future program will be granted.

All Learn-to-Row participants must register with Cape Cod Rowing and complete the liability waiver, whether you eventually become a CCR member or not. Use the button below to complete needed information and submit, along with your session choice and  payment.

LTR participants must become a USRowing member when they register as well.  USRowing now has a $10 Learn to Row individual membership that lasts 60 days for coverage.  The Cape Cod Rowing Club code is U6YVK.
