Learn to Row

Our eight-session clinics will take you through the basics of rowing, practicing first on ergometers (rowing machines), then on the water in an eight-person shell with a coxswain, who navigates the boat. Each rower holds a single oar and is either a port or a starboard, depending on which side of the boat their oar sticks out. Sculling—where each rower holds a pair of oars—will also be covered during the course, initially in a quad (four rowers). Coaches will ride along side in a launch to critique and advise on technique.

Due to COVID-19, the dates below are tentative as of January 1, 2021. We are hoping these will be workable by May. Please email us at ccrowinginfo@gmail.com to be added to our update list.
