Youth Learn-to-Row

(July 5 – July 25)

 

Open to youth grades 7 – 12 with little or no prior rowing experience.  Fee includes eight (8) 90-minute sessions on the water learning both sweep and sculling rowing technique.  Sessions cover the components of the rowing stroke, on-water safety, and proper care of rowing equipment.  Participants must pass a swim test prior to first launch.

 

Schedule: 7:15 am – 8:45 am, Mon., Wed., Fri.

 

Novice Rowing

(July 26 – August 15)


For youth who have completed at least one Learn-to-Row session.  Focus is on continued improvement in rowing technique in both sweep and sculling held in conjunction with youth skills development program.

Youth Skills Development

(July 5 – August 15)

 

For youth rowers with at least one season of rowing experience.  Focus will be on improving technique and endurance in both sweep rowing and sculling.  Additional ergometer training at discretion of head coach.
