Summer Skills Development

For the past 3 summers, CCR has run a very well attended summer skills development program.

The program focuses on skill sets and past participants have made enormous strides in their rowing. Summer weather is generally warm and the water calm, perfect conditions for working on set, timing and the correct sequencing of power application.

A great deal of time is spent sculling, in octs, quads, doubles and singles.
Sculling is not only a rewarding and dynamic different style of rowing, it is universally accepted as one of the best ways to improve your sweep rowing.

We will be sweep rowing too.

This program is for experienced rowers who want to take their rowing to the next level, it is not a recreational program.
Rowers who have a history of unexcused absences will be dismissed from the program without refund.

The program is open to all youth rowers, boys and girls. This year we already have registrations from several rowers from off cape, including rowers from CRI, Saugatuck, Hingham and other well established rowing clubs, even as far away as Baltimore!

The program is 18 sessions, beginning July 6th. M / W / F from 6.30 to 8.00 am ending August 14th.

Cost of the program is $165.

Sign up is via Regatta Central.

If you would like to begin rowing, have just started rowing, looking for recreational rowing... or the morning times do not suit,
Coach Alyse will also be running a summer rowing program, details of which are also on the regatta central programs tab.
