YOUTH PROGRAM

Summer Skills Coach - Bella Hayward

Bella began rowing at an early agewhen she tried it out as a 6th grader. Bella was a novice rower for just a short period of time because she had natural power, rhythm and timing. She rowed for Cape Cod Rowing's Varsity team where she and her team raced and claimed many medals at venues such as the Lowell Invitational, Textile River Regatta, Massachusetts State Championships, New Hampshire Championship Regatta, Open Water Championships in Plymouth Bay, and The Head of the Charles where she was the youngest competitor on the river that year.

Bella has coached for Cape Cod Rowing for the last 4 summers and looks forward to rebuilding the team this season!

Youth Learn To Row Coach - Allison LaChance

Allison started rowing competitively as a walk-on novice her freshman year of college with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Allison raced throughout college in fours and eights, earning her seat as stroke her second year of rowing. Allison has competed in numerous regattas in the Northeast region, including the Head of the Charles, Dad Vails Grand Finals and medaling at the New York Stage Collegiate Rowing Championships.

After her NCAA career ended, Allison stayed involved with rowing as a novice coach at McQuaid Jesuit, where she helped guide the Knights novice 8 to a first place finish at the New York State Championships in Saratoga, NY. Allison was also a part of the masters rowing community in Rochester, coaching learn-to row with the Genesee Waterways Center (GWC). Allison hopes to share her passion and knowledge of the sport with new rowers as she joins Cape Cod Rowing, Inc. this year!
