Important Information for the Youth

Spring 2008 Program

 

 

 

Registration Details

Our program is available to all area youth!

 

 Registration is through Regatta Central

Look for Cape Cod Rowing under the "clubs" tab and register for spring youth racing season.

The Spring 2008 program fee is $345 (one of the lowest in our league)

A copy of the US Rowing Release of Liability ,the Cape Cod Rowing Spring Registration Form and the Cape Cod Rowing Health Form are required to be completed and shall be given to the coach. Full payment of fees or payment arrangements must be made before the student will be allowed to participate in the program.

Cape Cod Rowing wants to insure that all interested students can participant!

If dues are a burden please speak to a coach so that arrangements for a  payment plan or a reduction/scholarship can be made!

 

Practice Schedule & Location

Practice is held at the Wequaquet Town Landing, Shootflying Hill Road, Centerville

The girls practice is from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.

The boys practice is from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Please note that the practices times may be shifted based on the number of participants.

 

All rowers must pass a Swim Test which will be held at the Lake.

 

 

Fundraising Pays for our equipment

Each rower and family is expected to participate in fundraisers.  This is to ensure that the minimum fundraising needs are met and equitable sharing of fundraising among all participants.

 

Spring race and activity calendar

Races are all day events, usually leaving early morning!

Bring plenty of clothes and gear

Bus will leave from RT 132 Burger King commuter lot

Fall Bus Fees of $10 or $20 per race may be collected prior to getting on the bus

Safety Information

During warm up run always stay single file on the road and pay attention to oncoming cars.

Please be very careful at the beginning and end of practice when entering and leaving the parking lot at the Lake!!!

 

Expectation for every rower:

  • stretching, running, erging and of course rowing

  • Wear suitable rowing/workout clothes every day.  That includes extra layers, spandex, and running shoes.  Be prepared to get wet! Do not wear baggy clothes as they can get caught in the boat and create a dangerous situation.

  • clean up trash and clothes on the beach.  Be green and take a reusable water bottle.
