2013 Johns Pond Regatta

posted May 3, 2013, 4:34 AM by Annette Nichols
Hello CCR rowers and Parents,
This weekend is our big event, our 6th Annual Cape Cod Rowing Regatta.
This is our chance to show off to the other teams. We can show how lucky we are to live on Cape Cod and how well we all work together to make this event a huge success.
In addition to having this be a major fundraiser, this is also an opportunity to have the other teams enjoy the day we have put together for them.
Please be aware that we need everyone to make this day work!
We will begin set up around noon time on Saturday, this goes pretty quick.
We need to set up tents and tables and also have signage put up to help with parking and registration.
On Sunday...
If you can, be at the lake at 6:00 a.m., the buses start rolling for the parking lots to the lake. Everyone must put their car in the lot. You will not be charged for parking , but we need the space at the lake.
Our main focus is in the lots. It will be insane, so the more folks helping out the smoother it will be.
We can have parents work in shifts, so they may see their child compete.
We will need help serving food. We will have Starbucks coffee, generously donated by Mary Volk. There will also be pizza to purchase, a whole pizza is $10.
Water and Gatorade will also be available.
We will need help on the water and the registration table as well.
Please see the sign up sheet on Saturday and fill in what you would like to do. We will also need folks to cover other areas as we see the need.
And awesome tee shirts will be on sale! The shirts have been designed by Emily Sgarlet, a former CCR member, who also designed the now famous "Row like a Mother" tee shirt. I beleive we still have a few of these for sale!
Please remember to sign up on the hospitality train. We will need lots of items to get us thru the rest of the season.
Please contact me if you have any questions.. 508-332-8399
Thank you everyone in advance! I know I will see all parents and Masters on Sunday!
